I have firewalked in a "personal improvement" seminar organized by some NLP charlatan. I walked over the coals and everything went fine, so I thought it had been such a piece of cake, why not walk over once more. The second time around I got the bottom of my left foot mildly burned. It was hurting for several days. =:-)

Tolly Burkan from the Firewalking Institute is in denial. Pseudo-scientific thinking characteristic #32352355: Disregard alternative explanations for a phenomenon and maintain preconceived notion.
