Richard Dawkins on Real Time With Bill Maher

"When I'm on my deathbed, I'm going to have a tape recorder switched on. Because people like me are the victims of malicious stories after their death people saying they had a deathbed conversion when they didn't. There is a story that even Darwin had a deathbed conversion, just a complete lie. But it is widely believed by creationists and it happens it again and again. So I'm going to have witnesses and I'm going to have a tape recorder switched on." Richard Dawkins

For a long time I was looking for this episode (the full show) that Bill Maher interviews with Richard Dawkins, at last I've got it. Enjoy!

thanks a lot for making this one available.

took me the liberty to create a cut version of, which skips the parts not related to the satellite interview with dawkins: content dealing merely with (off-)topics of local american focused interest only, rather outdated anyway. so, this edit might come handy to people looking for the dawkins performance only and/or bandwith concerns.

6:30, 50 mb. sound & vision standard should be about kept.

You could have just linked to the youtube video of this Dawkins-Maher conversation, like you usually with other clips.

But hey maybe seeing the whole episode will interest a few guys to catch some of the other Real Time episodes. They aren't always good but if Hitchens or Dawkins show up they are bound to be. ;)

Also don't miss Bill Mahers documentary: Religulous - you can get it here on this page if I remember correctly.

regarding the last comment on how youtube embedd would have done it: i myself consider prime reason for to visit this fine blog here regulary, that with most of the movie stuff, and at least the more then "just watch and forget it" content, there's a serious attempt undertaken, to provide it in better quality than the youtube standard does (annoyingly bad flv's, and even when offered "hq" too, those mp4's are not that much hq at all).

to my opinion, any decent avi dl link is much more favourable.
