Nine Miles Down is a horror movie (the first on the blog) which brings fresh ideas into the genre. It follows the same tradition of The Thing or Silent Hill: isolation, delusions, fear of the unknown... But this movie breaks with the tradition with a unique twist. So my explanation is limited here because every word will spoil the movie. Well, I can only say that that one is based on gynophobia and saves the rational thought differs from the ordinary and brainless horror movies. Although the acting is not brilliant, I can easily say it's one of the most underrated movies of 2009, including religious references and a bit of dark humor.

German horror film, heavy on atmosphere, and focusing on the fear of women? I MUST see this.
If you take requests, how about "Agora". the film about Hypathia where the christians look like talibans (or so I heard).
